I just noticed that there is a poodle on the floor just on the right side before the passenger seat in my truck …. I can’t figure out where the water is coming from.

It seems like it is water [and not anti-freeze or oil]. I checked the air-conditioning for leaks but that doesn’t seem to be the source.

Anybody has seen this before?

I appreciate any ideas or direction.

first of all i can't help myself here "poodle on floor" if there is a dog under your truck move it so you don't run it over :p :-laf :-laf

now the puddle is prolly from the condenser of your A/C. do you only notice this after running the A/C or all the time? thats is the same spot my A/C drips passenger side where the passengers feet would be... . hope this helps

Your post heading says leak on drivers side??? I am having a problem with wettness on drivers side of mine. Haven't been able to find it yet. Picking up a gasket for the thid backup lts above the cab. Have heard that often blamed for under mat wettness.

Good luck

well ... . that only shows ... . not all the ESL mistakes are picked up by spell checkers :D

I checked the A/C and it doesn't seem to be connected ... . I ran long distances all summer with the A/C blasting and I only noticed it last week.

rgreen - what is the gasket you are talking about?

Thanks,

Csaba

I have a 98 that leaks on the pass side I was told the ac drain is clogged I cleaned it and it stopped for a while but it is doing it again . I also had the 3rd light leak but it just wet the headliner and ran down the back of the back seat but didnt wet the floor in an area you would see . Try to clean out the ac drain. Hope this helps .

The gasket is for the light on the back of the cab. The 3rd light leak as it is called. Cost is about $12. 00 and I figure that enough guys have reported a leak there that changing it is worth the gamble.

By the way. Make sure you check under the carpet. It is amazing how much water can be soaked up by the underpadding. Mine was litteraly dripping. The wetness showing on the carpet was only the tip of the iceberg so to speak.

My wife had this happen a few years ago with a car of ours on a trip out to her Dad's. It turned out to be a big dead bee in the A/C drain tube. After unplugging it, it was fine.
