While test driving my truck yesterday I noticed rocker switches on the back side of the steering wheel. I did a search of this forum, but came up dry. Anyone know what they're for?

My wife's Toyota has those controls on the steering wheel. Thought about it for a minute of two, before I ordered my 2005, but you had to buy the upgraded radio (no thanks). I think it's just as easy to reach over to the radio and change settings instead of remembering what all the different steering wheel buttons do, and where they are... :D

Once you have them and get used to them you sure do miss them. :(

They are used to f^#* with the wife. When she changes the station to her BS you can change back to your stuff and play dumb. Like telling her your stuff is the default and the radio changes to the default automatically.

Handy propane/ nos swicth . :--)

If you have the SLT, without upgraded radio, do you think they will still work. I wonder if you pulled the covers off, the plugs may be back there and you could just buy the switches.

Agreed. I don't think I would ever spend the $$ to get the upgraded radio with the steering wheel controls but boy, I sure do like them.

I keep reaching for them in my work car but they aren't there :{

Kinda like TIVO. How did I ever live without it???
