Mystic semi synthetic oil-anyone use it? Wal-mart is not carring the Delo 400 any more--just the 400LE--

I just can't find the Delo 400--it sounds like it's really good for the $$. My (farm and home) carries a Mystic semi synthetic, that sounds like it might be pretty good--it is a CI-4plus oil @ 8. 95 @ gal.

The only oil I can get in this area that is in the (BEST) list of the latest TDR#57--is the Shell Rotella T Synthetic--@ 17. 65 @ gal

any feed back welcome--thanks, Rocky:)

Are you looking for synthetic oil or just cant find CI-4 plus regular oil? Shell makes one Rimula Premium 15 w 40 that is CI-4 plus. Im thinking of using it in my truck ,which has always had Rotella 15w40 since new. hope this helps you.

Just looking for a real good CI-4 plus--I did not want to pay the 17. 65@gal for the Rotella snythetic at wally-world--I just wondered if anyone had used that Mystic oil I asked about. I went to 3 places looking for good oil--O'rileys, Auto zone, wally world--and the farm and home that had the mystic--most places here have gone to the CJ-4--and according to the latest TDG #57 they suck for everything except the 2007. 5

I have not seen the Rimula--down here--I used the regular shell rotella for 10 yrs. in my PS:eek:--thought it was the best--untill this last oil anilist--#57--where the guy said he wouldn't run it unless he had a fleet of garbage trucks!

Wow I finally found someone else who's interested in Mystik; I thought I was the only one. I service equipment for a construction company and thats all they use. I notice that when I service an engine with Mystik in it it is a lot cleaner compared to other oils at the same interval. My local lubricant shop stocks one barrel just for me and they said I'm their only customer in So. Cal. I also use it in my cummins and would highly recommend it.

If you have a Sam's Club nearby check them out. My local club still had about 10 cases of Delo 400. I bought three cases which will take me out to about 60,000 miles. I guess at that point I will have to switch...

Later ;)

That sounds good Joel, is the Mystic your talking about have a purple lable, they sell it here in 1 or 2 gal jugs--says it's semi syn. CI-4 plus--and is $8. ??@ gal. --think of taking that Rotella syn. @ (17. 00+)back to wally world. Sounds like you get to see the inside of a few motors--thax, Rocky

;)

Just buy the cheap ole CJ stuff and quit with the stupid stuff ... ... ..... 345,000 and still tickin =)

I'm going to 600,000 plus, most of you will never see 100,000 carrying groceries!

80% of my miles are with 8,000# or more in tow ... ... ... ... ..... you guys need to get a grip!

Mystic oil

I've been running this stuff in my two 855 Cummins in the boat for a few years. Guys just south of me, Savannah, have been using it for a long time and like it. I haven't been into an engine since using it to see how the insides look. I used Valvoline forever and liked it alot. Insides were always very clean, no sludge or crud buildup at all. My supplier quit with Valvoline and has Mystic, I knew a few guys who liked it, so went with that.

That's the stuff; I buy it by the 55 gal. drum. There was this guy selling an additive and he said you could bring any kind of oil you wanted to compare with his additive. My friend gave him some Mystik to try and it beat his additive. Looks like we need to get a grip I guess. :-laf
