N-FAB does not produce functional products. I purchased their O.R. Pre-Runner LED light bar (#D0430OR) which renders our tow hooks useless. I spoke with a Customer Care agent and he stated: “It’s an aftermarket accessory, what do you expect? We build for Looks and not Functionality”. Then, told me to figure out how to make them functional again and hung up.

Same here.. I've had a Defiant light bar on my 2004 for over ten years. Designing a mounting method for the bar isn't easy. it uses the mounting area to the frame so you have to remove the tow hooks. I called and they said no worries... the bar itself is strong enough for pulling. If anyone is interested I have a brand new spare in the box for sale.

The NFAB light bar bracket only mounts to the inner two tow hooks and not the outter two. It literally leaves a quarter inch gap better the tow hook and truck frame. A quarter inch thick washer would work but there is also a cross bracket with their logo that covers half of the tow hook as well.

How much are you looking to sell your light bar for?

I had a Defiant bar a couple of trucks ago. I really liked it, but it was not a recovery point, not by a long shot.

So why not modify it to work with the tow hooks? A couple "L" brackets or C channel over the tow loop and you have both. I call it field engineering.

I'm about to go through the same thing with my Jeep Wrangler... I'm about to purchase a frame mounted towing baseplate that uses the same frame mounting points as a brush/ grill guard I have. It's possible I can't make it work, so I'll install the towing system priority over keeping the brush/grill guard.

Anhoo, just a thought on how to keep both.

Cheers, Ron
