Thanks to all who provided info on this subject including links and FAQ pages. I finally got underneath with fingers crossed, it's not the dreaded "53" so it must be Machine el Mexicano. I cleaned off the grease here's what is on the block of my '01 HO. If anyone has any further supporting technical info on these numbers it is welcomed by myself and those with identical markings.

I share in the disappointment with Cummins on the lack of support for those with the 53. I was already planning to trade it if it was a 53 block. We all bought in to this product because of proven strength, design, and durability. I once owned an F-250 with Triton V-10. It was a strong truck but I parted with it because Triton's are known for blowing spark plugs out the aluminum heads. Ford owners share the same grief on fordtruck.com website with no support except to pay thousands for new heads. Thanks again TDR brethren and I hope those with cracked blocks reach some type of resolve with minimal pain. I'll keep this one.
