recently i have seemed to have a significant decrease in mileage, my last tank was at 15. 6 mpg. so, i changed out my air and fuel filters. i was out of a stack of donaldson fuel filters given to me by a friend when he went to FASS, so i decided to get one from NAPA. big mistake- when i snapped the new one on the cover, and put it back in the cup, it went in with significant resistance, and was extremely difficult to screw back on to the housing. i finally had to use force to get the threads to seat, and did eventually get everything working, but next time, i'll use a different brand. i don't know what it is, if the filter is a few millimeters long or what, my milage still seems to be poor, i really hope it isn't a stuck injector at 75,000 miles. that might be the final straw. . for the stock engine that has been flawless otherwise. .

Not only does it sound like you have fitment issues, but the filter doesn't meet OEM min spec for filtration either.

When I got a tank of bad fuel on a trip I had to get a couple Napa Gold FF's because I had to keep changing them. I was surprised that Golds had at best, half the number of pleats as the Fleet Guards.

not good considering the sticker shock i got when i bought it- $24. . i always expected more from a NAPA product, i've never had an issue with any of their filters.

In researching filter specs I have yet to find a Wix fuel filter that is as good as it's cross, and won't let one anywhere near my truck.
