Napa no longer honoring balljoint warranty

Thought I'd let others know. I had to replace my balljoints again last fall, and when I went to bring them in for warranty the manager said they would have to go in to get approved. Took them about 6 months, and the verdict is it's normal wear.



So beware, their lifetime warranty isn't what it used to be. I will not be buying anything napa anymore for these types of parts.

I just got off the phone with my favorite NAPA Auto Parts Store in Albuquerque. I got a price on a set of ball joints and I asked about their lifetime warranty if the ball joints are wore out from normal use. They assured me that they will replace them unconditionally.



Maybe it's just your NAPA store or state.

Yup, rscurtis, that says it ALL!!!!



I gave up on Kragens and their lifetime warranty when it first came out 25 years ago... when I put their replacement waterpump on the 318 in my Plymouth, and it had bad bearings right out of the box!!!



A parts warranty is no good if you're gonna have to keep putting in the labor again and again and again, particularly on a difficult job like balljoints.



In terms of balljoints, I'll just go with the Carlis when my oem bj's wear out.
