i went to get a price on a new megacab checking thru options and 430 radio is the only nav radio i can get has anyone else checked out the 2 radios thanks

i watched as he put order together he showed me options that where available for the mega but sometimes they restrict some options if they have no stock still no word on aluminum wheels for the laramie

Maybe this will help explain the problem. A fellow over on iRV2.com is trying to order a 2011 Grand Cherokee for use as a toad behind his motorhome but can't get the 730N stereo/nav system. In fact, he can't even get delivery of the vehicle he wants until late January if he orders today. He and the dealer called Chrysler corporate headquarters to discuss (among other things) the lack of availability of the 730N, and he says:

Chrysler told me that the 730N is being updated to the new Garmin Nav system and the new units will not be available until January. In their infinite wisdom they just stopped production of the old 730N and now have a 4 month gap without it.

I can't swear to the accuracy of the above, but there it is as he's hearing it from Detroit.

I guess they used up the last of the old, obsolete 730Ns when they built my truck.....

Looking at the configuration preview of the 4500 I am trying to buy, the RHB 430n is the only nav option at least for the 4500, the dealer also said it was changing to Garmin.
