I am currently having significant problems using my NAV (REC) in my 06 Ram. I live in the High desert area in So. Ca and everytime I pass through the Cajon Pass on the 15 fwy the Nav unit will stop navigating (becomes useless), and will not come back for a hour or so, until after you have shut it off. I am currently "negotiating" with Chrysler on the fix, but they say there is none, and "oh well". This is a $1600. 00 factory upgrade, and to just sluff it off, is not acceptable to me. During the course of the last 50k miles, I have had the radio replaced, the disk upgraded, the antennae replaced to no avail, under warranty.

First Question: Has anyone had a similar problem, and solved it?

2nd: If you have had the problem with no resolution could you sound off, to give me some support as to the amount of radios with the same problem. '

BTW I am extremely familiar with the GPS, as I have 3 other units that work flawlessly in all other areas, the problem is definitely a technical problem, not a user problem.

Thanks for your help. :) Dominic

Hey Dominic I think it's just the pass area that causes that ? I live in Apple valley and have had the same problem but only in the pass area Have you tryed a unlocked disk ? sense changing to my unlocked disk I haven't ran into that .

This unlocked disk, was it something you made, and if so, how? Because if that solves the problem, I would be ecstatic!
