NC meeting in June

Ok guys when are we going to get together again. I know a few of us have accesories to install , that we might need some hand holding for. So how about a work day sometime the end of June or first of July. I'll be willing to set it all up, but I need some ideas on a good date and location. So let me hear your ideas.

I don't see Pete much lately as he has been helping

his son lay underground cable. He has been working

the h*** out of that "new" flame red 2001. 5 dually!!



But, I will try to get him to come up there with us.

Can you guys help me install my new HX-40/16 and

the 4" exhaust?

wes... . i too will try to make the show... i am hoping someone has maybe talked to someone who has or actually did the KDP fix themselves... mine went out of warranty in april and the timebomb is ticking i guess... john and i may be the only 12 valvers in the group... . not sure about that though... anyway i will make every effort to be at the meeting... later

What's the KDP fix? I hope that's not a stupid question that's been hashed out in the last month, but I'm clueless.

the KDP is the " Killer Dowel Pin " you need not worry ... doesn't pertain to you overvalved folks ... . just us properly valved CTD owners ... primarily 94-98. 5 trucks. The fix is simple ... I've done 2 so far and have 5 to go as long as the weather cooperates. We've had rain rain rain here ... . what a drag!

What 4" system did you go with? I would really be interested in assisting with that to see how it goes.

I went with the "Diesel Dynamics" 4" system, turbo to

tail!! Stan had that system on his truck and said he

liked it. I like he way it sounded and Joe Donnelly got

a good price on it for me. It comes with the "Walker"

#21471 muffler.

I have my weekends all fulled up except for the 30th. Camping this week and a Truck/Tractor pull on the 22 and 23. I should have a 2wd low kit to put on my truck for the event.

Here's the scoop.



Workday/ Accessory install

June 30th

My house in Apex

Camping at nearby Jordan Lake (same place that we were the last time) If anyone else wants to I'll camp with you.





I have enough room to work on 2-3 trucks at a time, plently of parking for everyone. I don't have a garage or anything, we will just play in the driveway.



If anyone knows of a more centralized place where we could pull this off, just say so. Otherwise e-mail me for directions.

I think I can make this. I liked the stay at the lake and will probably do the camping thing. I will need the directions to your house. What time and what do I need to bring. What is the best time to get into the campground? Do they have a lifeguard down at the beech??

I should have my 2 wd low kit to install by then. 1st gear is to slow and rev is to fast. Go figure.



JUST A THOUGHT HERE THIS IS UP TO YOU. I can and will deep fat fry a turkey or two if that is what you want to do. No the meat is not dry, I inject "stuff" into it and they come out D@mn good. The best part is it only takes 5 or so min per pound. Sorry so long.

Sounds like things are coming together. Let me know what to bring, tools, food, etc... I assume all the installs will take place at your house. We don't want Ranger Rick to run us all in for parking on the grass (what grass?) at the lake.

Are you doing the 2wd low before the 30th? Or are we all going to help?



I'm sure I won't have anything to install, but I may want to drill, tap & plug my exhaust manifold and elbow to prepare for gauges.

I think they lock the gates at the campground at 9:00. Of course the earlier the better, officially 2:00 is check in time. As you remember the sites are first come first serve. If we figure out how many will be camping, I'll try to get there early to save enough spots close together. I don't think they have a lifeguard at the swimming area, why do you ask? Didn't you learn to swim up there in Yankee country



I like the turkey idea. Once we see how many will make it we will get the groceries lined out.



Did you get that brake installed yet? I hope you go with that 2 wheel low kit, that is something that is on the wish list.

Yes, this time we will gather at mi casa. I'm afraid ole Dick Tracey might lock us all up for destroying pine straw or something. Not much better at my house, but I promise you won't get a ticket for parking on my grass. I need to let you drive my truck so you can see what your missing

Hello to all.

I just got back from Yankee country (no sweet tea = yankee country)in Va. I talked to Keith (Ramin On)for a couple of hours. When I told him it took 4-5 hours to put on my brake he told me he puts them on in 1/2 to 1 hour. Air tools zip zip zip and done. That thing works great I barely used my brakes at all. At a higher RPM the sound of the E Brake is great. I don't care for the whistle at an idle.

I'll keep in touch with you on this but as of now I plan on camping and making it a weekend thing. Camping is great.

It will probably just be you and me camping, and David meeting us for a little while on Sat. So you guys let me know whether or not you want to do this or not. We could postpone until a better time if it works out better for some of the others.



On a side note I'm heading down your way this weekend, where is this tractor pull going to be???

The tractor pull is in Harrells which is near Wallace on 421. It is Friday night at 7:00 pm and on Saturday afternoon. I plan on going Friday night looks like rain down here on Sat. I don't know if they will pull stock trucks or not. If they do I may pull mine.
