I've searched all over, can't seem to find anything mini enough.

Single cylinder, and it just don't sound right without a whistle.

Any ideas?

We had a Lombardini gen set the other day in for repairs, and the intake wheel on the turbo is about 1. 3" OD. They are out there.

How about a supercharger?????

Out of boredom a few winters ago, We went to the indoor go kart races. They ran a "Super Briggs" class with any/all mods allowed. A lot of them ran a big block Chevy A. I. R. pump as a belt driven supercharger. Sounded nasty, for a 5 horse Briggs & Stratton. Maybe that would do it for you? DK.

ooooooo cool i may need to try that

Oh man, the things I read here.

That GT12 Garret would still be way too big, but it may might kind of fun, spooling after you already are at top speed, whoosh!

I've been looking for something small to run on a 3 cylinder Diahatsu diesel. Husqvarna has a ZTR mower with a 34 hp Diahatsu 3 cyl Turbo Diesel but I can't any info on it.

Sledpullers truck is for sale and now he's looking for a small turbo... ... ... Sounds to me like he thinks he's gonna take the garden tractor pulling scene by storm :-laf

I'd maybe look into the Snowmobile scene. I know some of the mountian sleds have turbos on them.

Granted that's a 2 or 3 cylinder engine... . so probably still a bit big.

There are some electric turbos. We tried one on a setup and it would make 8 lbs of boost on a 5. 9 at idle. That would probably blow the head off that little 5hp though. I think they were used on buses to make them spool faster.

Someone (on DTR I think) turboed their 3-cyl kubota (around 20-25hp as I recall) and it worked fairly well. Not sure if I can find the thread now, it was a long time ago. Turbo was off a K-car if I remember right? I think that would be too big though. Definitely woke the tractor up.

There's a couple of snowmobiles that are running HY35s so ya I think that they are on the large size. I don't know if the little 120 sleds are even that low on hp.

I Have A Nitro R/c Car And I Get Catalogs Alot. In There Is A Picture Of A Roots Type Blower On A Rc Airplane 4-stroke Engine :d . I Havent Seen It Advertised For Sale But It Looks Neat!

Tower Hobbies Is The Catalog.

Oh And The Engine Was Like Only . 25 Cubic Inches So It Def. Wont Be Too Big!! :d

Catapillar has a line of compact tractors that are turbocharged and the mini excavators are also. The turbo's that I saw on them were small but I don't know if they were small enough for a Briggs and Stratton.

The 2 stroke sleds typically run an Aerocharger 66 series turbo. There are a few variants and I've seen one sled with an HY35. The turbo Yamaha's are running an ItstBitsy TD04HL 16T. The stock 660 Cat uses an IHI and the Polaris 750 uses a KKK off of a Volkswagen (but tweaked for this app).

Hot rod 120's are up to 11hp naturally aspirated. I don't know af any that are charged - all the ISR rules keep things from getting out of hand. I just sold my kid's Champ 120 for $4300 which includes the $2000 engine, maybe now I have some dough for 'improvements'. Oo.
