More power for the 03's

Got Gauges and a fueling box but have a question

I am looking to get a new turbo soon and i am considering the dodgzilla and the piers hx40. the advantage of the dodgzilla is that i can keep my exhaust brake the only thing that i am worried about is if the dodgzilla going to be big enough. On the wildcat diesel site they say up to 400hp but looking at the diesel site i would be close to 440hp with the DD2's and the DDUFM. what are your ideas i am open to ideas.

Thanks

Trey

I'm gonna second the suggestion of Kurt Yardley... he will be doing some personal work on my turbo come next week. I love my turbo for spool time and bottom end, it's just got one small habit I don't like, and we're gonna try to fix it.

Oh, the word unbreakable comes to mind.

The Piers will give you more flow on the exhaust side(slightly lower EGTs)

The hybrid will spool up much much faster.

I've run both and my EGTs were slightly higher with the hybrid but the spool up was so much better on the Dodgezilla that I continued to run it. When your cruising at fairly low RPMs you can still spool the hybrid where the Piers had to have some more RPM. I'm not knocking either turbo just pointing out upside and downside of both.

Also I don't think your truck will dyno 440 with DDIIs and the UFM.

400 would actually be a pretty healthy number.

I use to run DDIIs and a drag Comp and the Dodgezilla fit my needs better.

the 440 i just read off the diesel dynamics website. if its right or not i don't know i have never dynoed it. can you run the box on 5x5 and still be below the 1250 mark or are you slightly over it.

I'll tell you what, with my DD3's and the Drag Comp, 4" turbo back, and the KSB1-B-2 +1650*F isn't even a problem!!! Of course, that is at 4000' and 5000' of elevation, as I haven't got to run it down lower yet. I'm going to be getting the Turbo Master wastegate setup for my B1 whenever it comes out to try and get more top end for lower EGT's, but it's still a ways away.

I should have been a little more clear in my first post.

I do agree with keith on your power level; however that is with the HX-40. 400hp or below without the 40. Sorry I wasn't clear.

I was running a PDR-40/16 and a "Dodgezilla" 40/14(hx35). The EGT difference was so small that my pyro couldn't give me a consistent difference. Between 25 and 50 degrees best as I could tell.

EGTs

Also on the EGTs. I couldn't even come close to running in 5x5. With the DDII's and Drag Comp. (I've upped the power since)

With either turbo you should be able to run in level 2 maybe 3 without temp problems. But were talking hot footing it here(no pun intended). Not babying it. I could drive around all day long in 5x5 without ever hitting 1300 if I wanted to. But if you jump on your truck and really run it you will see some big numbers. When I talk about EGT I'm talking WOT (peak EGT). If I'm talking about partial throttle (cruise) I'll try and say so. On that note, at a cruise say going through town or cruising down the interstate my temps were lower with the hybrid.

Any body that wants can call and quiz away.
