Yesterday, my oldest sons truck (the 2WD-standard cab) had a severe electrical fire. The dash caught on fire and the entire interior is gone.

He was driving on US2 when it caught and managed to cross the pilchuck river bridge and to the side of the road, grab some important stuff, and get out before the flames really took hold. It got hot enough to melt the windshield.

So, the cab should be replaced. Anyone know of a cab sitting around? It needs everything.

Thanks

Dave

Might have a line on a 4x4 standard cab I think) here if the guy has gotten to his conversion project yet. Would that suffice?

Well, at this point he is looking at either replacing the cab, or finding an old truck with no engine and trans cheap.

a standard cab 4x4 or not would work.

Thanks

Well, at this point he is thinking about putting the motor and trans in an old (1940's to 1950's) military powerwagon if the cab costs too much.

I think that would be really cool. But it's up to him

Sorry to hear about your old truck - glad your son is ok. Been a while since I said hi. I will look around Portland and see what I can find.

Best regards

Bob

likewise Dave, good luck finding a cab, I know there are a lot of parts trucks around for sale in my area ~1000 with cummins...
