Hey everyone I need some help here.
I have a 110 gallon aux. tank in my bed and have finally got it all plumbed in. There is a pickup line that goes about 1" from the bottom of the tank, its 1/2" ID and pipes out from the top where I have 1/2" ID hose that goes down into a hole I drilled in the front drivers side of the bed where below I have (for now) a stock dodge lift pump that is weak. The outbound line plumbs into the breather hose with a t connection and then goes into the tank. Well I guess the stock weak LP isnt going to cut it, it cant even pull fuel up from the bed to the stock tank at all. I figuire once it gets it started it should have some head pressure on it and sort of syphon its way down. I need to find me a bigger pump that can suck the fuel the 3 1/2 ' up that is need to get going on its way down to the stock tank.
Anyone have suggestions? I dont have hardly any money into the lines now and really am not too excited about a expensive pump. High PSI means nothing but higher GPH would be awful nice. Anyone have some suggestions on what type of pump to get? Can I get a regular unleaded type fuel pump and use it for diesel applications? BTW, there is a switch in the cab to turn the pump on if you were wondering how I activate the pump.
Need help everyone! I have 110 gallons of diesel now sitting in my aux tank and would like to be able to use it soon!
