Diesel Innovations and I......

I realize that the car I am asking about is not a Diesel but I figured you guys might read it more here than in "Other" (Moderator, PLEASE don't pull topic)

A good friend of mine bought a 1985 380SE (V8) from an elderly client of mine here in Calif. He took the car to his home in SETAC area of Wash. state. His wife has loved the car. Long story short, It looks like it somehow lost a cam tensioner/Cam chain timing and it looks like the pistons kissed some valves.

Any of you guys work on these or could recommend someone GOOD and HONEST in the Washington area? I know that if I lived up there that He and I would tear it apart ourselves. I have known him for 30yrs.

Any help appreciated!!! Chris

One of the guys in my Jeep club is a mechanic. I don't know what brands he works on. I'll ask him on Sunday.
