need a good powerless stroke website

My retired dad went out and bought a sick. 0 powerpoke. He said he didn't like the dodge cabs. The Mega cab was too big and the regular 4 door was too small. Can't please everyone I guess.

Since he's an old dog and doesn't learn new tricks he's asked me to find a good website for his powerjoke and ford truck in general. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good website for ford trucks, that I don't have to pay for. No way i'm paying to read about a flord. Any help would be welcomed. Any flak for calling the powerstroke a joke is welcomed also.

Just tell him "I am sorry" from me! At least if he was to insist on a pukiechoke, he could have gotten a good used 7. 3L. The 6. 0's are total junk. I have never heard anyone really ever brag about theirs. They have a LOT of trouble. For resolutions to his problems, there are several sites. One is ford diesel.com and the other is the diesel stop.com. There are others I have heard of, but those seem to be the most common. Again, I hate to hear he made a sacrifice of too much or too little cab space and got a truely junky engine instead. Hope he has plenty of LUCK, because he will definately need it to keep that pos engine running!!

I asked him if got the extended warranty and he said "no", it was $600. I laughed and told him it at $90 an hour for labor that 600 bucks is a bargain. I'll bet they get 4 hours to pull the turbo! I tried to talk him into it. He did say he got 3 years of free towing. Good thing. I'll try those sites, thanks

thedieselstop.com is the biggest one that I am aware of. They have forums specific to each engine that has been in the fords and there is a pretty good wealth of knowledge. Be prepared to take some abuse though. There are a couple of us from here that post over there too.

Great site, I used to be on that one when I had a 7. 3. Lots of very knowledgeable people on there.



Our company long haul truck (F-450 with a 6. 0 powerchoke) is trash. I'm one of three drivers that drive it between Alaska and across the lower 48. Last Aug it dropped an injector on my last day heading home. The next guy lost another injector. Last month it dropped another injector and the turbo. Turbos and injectors are cheap though, right? 40k miles total now. Hmm, and I depend on this thing to pull me thru remote stretches of road in winter. Sorry for the rant.

Now that's Funny! :-laf Your poor Dad, when he breaks down and starts having all his problems in about a 1000 miles or so, he can't say that you didn't tell him so...

I ripped into him pretty hard when he first told me. We have been looking at Dodge trucks for over a year. Then he buys a FLord! I felt, betrayed! I think I made him feel bad. My father-in-law had a 99 super duty F450 he used to pull his 5th wheel. That had, what I thought, a really nice cab. The seats were split bench up front and full bench in the back, REALLY comfortable. I even liked the dash. But this new flord. The dash looks like crap and the seats are about 3 inches thick. NOT comfortable. I hate to say it,but the MEGACAB dash and seats DO NOT impress me either. I like my 01's big butt front seats. Feels like my lazy-boy. But I digress. The flord doesn't seem all that bad,but that 6. 0 just looks like a fancy boat anchor.
