I am in search of a good transmission assembly lube and have been able to find several, but can't find any on-line stores that sell it.

I would prefer "TransJel" but any reputable lube will work (just as long as I can purchase it on-line).

Thanks in advance, CJ

The service manual say use petroleum jelly to hold things like the OD piston in place and a lube for other things. One of the recommend lubes is Sil Glide. It's sold by NAPA.

The best stuff we have found for o-rings is made by fuller and you can get it at a semi-truck dealer. Works great on all o-rings we have used, And we have used o-rings from cummins, cat, detroit, fuller and many makes of auto trans. Its a clear gel with a tip applicator, this stuff is very good.

another good o-ring lube is "parkers silicon based oring lube"... it is good stuff, but stickey as anything... on o-ring seals and gaskets, i usually use white lubriplate lithium grease, or vasoline if i don't have any lubriplate handy.

NAPA and reputable transmission parts and kit suppliers usually sell some assembly lube called ASSEMBLYGOO its green and comes in a 1 lb. tub and unlike vaseline and some of the other lubes Ive experienced it melts and becomes one with the trans fluid at fluid temps above 130 f with no ill effects and it holds whatever you want to hold together for installing

I forgot to add it only costs about 6 bucks . I build 10-15 trannys a month and it last about a month and a half per tub
