Stumbled across a 1998 dually 4x4 frame/axles, that had been stretched 2 feet, and painted.
It was to be the frame for a classic semi tractor cab of some sort. The idea was to move the engine back, and down, which they did, and then realized, that the transfer case was lower than the front axle.
Not sure what they were thinking.
The guy decided at that time, he didn't want a 4x4, took his 98 12 V engine, and traded it to the current owner, for a 2wd frame.
The rear cross member would need moved back ahead, no problem, the bolt holes are still there, untouched. The front engine mounts would need re-welded.
Thats all I have for info, If anyone is interested, pm me and I'l give you name and number. It is in Hadley, NW Pennsylvania.
