Well the plastic top to the power steering reservoir has vibrated off. It fortunately left the internal stick to measure the fluid level in place. I'm looking for a new cap. The lid and stick as a unit? Local NAPA and Vatozone don't have one and don't know where to get one. It is a different type compared to the 2nd generation trucks.

So thinking that the local Bremerton dealership would be helpful I called hte parts desk. They only have the entire reservoir for the great price of $130. No cap available. Ridiculousness. He mumbled something about a new upgrade bla bla bla. Dorman doesn't have one in their inventory, neither does Genos. So WTH do I do?

Maybe I will head to the junk yard to see if other dodge bi-products have them.

If you go to the salvage yard be sure the cap you buy is EXACTLY like the one you took off, there are similar caps that will not work.

Dodge does sell the cap, it is part number 52106856AC and I paid $13. 95 for it.

Godspeed,
Trent

Hey Dog,

I was in Las vegas last month and noticed I had lost mine as well.

Saw some oil residue.

Called the dodge dealer and he had a new one on stock.

Was about $15

Seems the bremerton dealer needs some training?

Doesn't surprise me, most of them around here will just spit out some nonsense if they can't find a part in 30 seconds!
I have good luck with the Totem Lake dealer parts dept. They have the lowest markup in the area.
