Need a quiet exhaust

My stock exhaust is dead. Both the muffler and tailpipe are rotted. I want to replace with a stainless system. Looking at a Magnaflo 5" catback but I am not sure of the noise levels. Would like to stay close to stock in respect to sound. I tow a 14k 5th wheel and don't want to be droned out of the cab under load. Just looking for opinions. I have heard Donaldson's are quiet but i am not sure if they are a direct replacement or are there modifications necessary for the mounts.

5" will be too loud. I had a magnaflo replacement on for a while but it was way too quiet for me. I'm straight piped now and am very happy. I had a 5" magnaflo on an 03' i had but the drone was pretty bad and it's quite loud. I think a 4" cat back from magnaflo would be more what you're looking for.

I put a Silent Might muffler on and it is very quiet. It flows straight thru but it still remained quiet. It is one heavy piece!

I had a 4" Silent Might on my 03 for 3500 miles with the original 3. 5" downpipe and 3. 5" pipe to the muffler and the shorty glass pack and it was a little too much for me. It may have been using the original 3. 5" from the turbo to the Silent Might not sure. It happened a shop offered me a deal on a turbo back change out to mandrel bent 4" so I did. Anyway, I've got a Silent Might and Shorty pack if anyone's interested. John

I kept everything stock on my truck's exhaust, except the muffler, which is an off the shelf 4" muffler from our local big rig place. Straight through, with expansion chambers to help with noise. Roughly 30" long, 9" diameter, and half as loud as the straight through louvered muffler that came on the truck (aftermarket). No drone anymore, and no difference in performance. Also, I still have my kitty.

Look at Stan's Headers I like the system I have and no DRONE it's not SS but I dont live in place where I really need SS

Does anyone know where to source a Silent Might Muffler? Are they not made anymore? I emailed ROkk but with no reply.
