I went to 4 wheel parts in Paramont and they want WAY too much $ for the job. Any body know of a reliable shop to do the work down here in the general LA CA area?

Just find a good front end shop ,should cost you a couple hundred bucks. Screw those 4 wheel places. You will need to align the front end afterward

Agreed, you will need a good alignment afterwards for sure. I would call dealerships and see what they want. I think we did it for 100 plus alignment.

KeelerR ,It really depends on what you are looking to accomplish when it comes to suspension mods. I have done the leveling spacers, but if you want to enjoy your rig off-road you will need more unless you travel SLOW. I am running the most advanced system available with out hacking up the frame. It is from Carli suspension and is complete with 3" King shocks as found on a large percentage of off road race vehicles. When you only have 10" of travel to play with you need to control it the best possible. Our SoCalRR's group has all the suspension types and brands covered. One trip with us and you can decide which way to go is for you.

No comment on the suspension choices, but I know exactly what you mean. When I first moved to SoCal with my '97, I forgot to let the air out of my airbags and rear tires after unhooking my 5th wheel. I think my kindeys bled for a week after that ride.
