Hey guys...

I need some help.

This is hard for me to say, but...

I can't afford a VP44 before Tuesday, and I need one.

Now, in most cases. . I would just park the truck, walk, or borrow my mothers car...

In this case, Thunder in Muncie is coming, up, and in 20 days I will have enough money to cover a VP44, but I can't swing it now. :{

I'm asking for a big favor here. I consider all of you family, and consider myself well known here on TDR, and with several companies (DTT/PDR/ADT/F1Diesel, etc)

I do pay bills on time, but allowing myself to do favors for many people, which may have been irresponsible, I have over extended myself. I have several thousand out right now to different people. Some my fault, and some,, not.

I'd love to be at Muncie. I've done alot in preperation to be there. . but, now, because I'm over-extended I won't be able to go, over a $1,500 pump.

I'm not asking for somebody to go out and buy me a PDR Hot Rod '44 (unless you may be so inclined to do so ;) )

I'm just wanting to know if anybody has a spare VP44 laying around I could re-imburse you for shortly after Thunder in Muncie.

I HAD a spare, but I sold it for cheap to a customer of mine who was in a bind.

If you have a spare VP44 I could buy, or know where I could get one without having to pay for 30 Days I would be indebted to you greatly.

I don't have a credit Card, I only use my Debit card, but my bank account is less than $150 from seeing negative.

I'm not looking for free stuff. I just need a VP44 now, that I can pay for within the month, to attend an event I've been planning to go to all year.

Thanks guys.

Feel free to e-mail me -- email address removed -- , or PM me here on TDR.

My cell is on 24/7 (956) 740-4015.

If you have a used pump (that you know works), I will get you a new pump when I return from Muncie.

Thanks,

Merrick

Man that sucks..... I would give ya one if I had one..... but my rig runs on the p7100.

Best of luck finding one... ...

Thanks Clayton.

I have a few leads, and a couple people who are trying to help. .

I haven't been able to make many phone calls since I finally realized I needed a pump later Friday, and not many people answer phones on the weekend... . Being Memeorial day weekend at that! :(

I'm slowly, oh so very slowly coming to the fact that I might not be able to go to Muncie... .

Looks like Chris Sutton will be sending me a pump to be here Wednesday (Memorial day today).

If all works out,, I'll be there !

Now, I have a couple other things to work out, like a trailer and my 12V, but those seem to be falling into place too...

I appreciate it guys.

May the Smoking begin!

Actually,

Change of plans.

Chris wasn't positive his pumped work, nor was he positive that it was for a S. O.

He was pretty confident, but not Positive.

Meanwhile, I was contacted by "Timinva" (on DTR) that he had a pump that he knew worked 100%, and he could ship it out this morning.

Tim had a pump off of his '00 Automatic truck, that he knows was working perfect when he took it off.

Thanks for all the help! Tim's pump will be here Wednesday Morning.

rashwor, thanks for the offer, but I've got one in the mail right now,, but if all else fails (pump lost in mail, pump doesn't work), I could just drive up there, and swap it out...

Usualy a "hard to start when hot" is indication of an impending failure.

I have to thank alot of friends,

John Isaacs (Floor It Diesel Performance)

J. R. Adkins (Adkins Diesel Performance)

Chris Sutton (csutton7 here on TDR)

Don Morrison (Don_M on DTR, F1Diesel)

Brandon Miller (joefarmer On DTR)

Horace Mast (Battering Ram on TDR/DTR)

and especially, Tim (Timinva on DTR).

Thank you all.

MCummings,

The hard start when hot indicating a impending failure is why I swapped it, but in a pinch...

A little more about my pump. It is off my '99 5 speed SO and was changed out at about 136,000 miles last May.

Glad you found a pump! Good luck.
