I have a 96' 3500 had the front pads replaced rotors turned new rubber lines to the calipers new master brake installed. They (mechanics) told me that the ABS dump valve is bad . (they told me this when I picked it up last week . Problem was not there prior to the master brake cylinder install) I read on an older post that the ABS dump valve also has to be bled . I called them today and they said they would start from cratch with another new MBC and bleeding the dump valve . In the meantime I have to find a source for a ABS dump valve,as they contacted both Dodge dealers and they both told them that they no longer make those ABS dump-valves as well as Pepboys and O'Rieleys ect. . So my real question is where to find a new ABS dump valve for my 96' 3500 ? I have a brake pedal that stops O. K. at an easy stop, but if you press it hard the pedal goes all the way to the floor ! In a hard brake it goes all the way to the floor . Yes it will stop the truck but when ? So far it has not been too late of a stop ! That is the reason it is now back at the shop . If any one can help me in finding a source for theABS dump valve I would be thankful . John

Junk Yard! I had RWAL valve(near master brake cylinder) go bad/leaking my mechanic replaced it with one from the junk yard he just happen to have.

I have a wrecked '95 2500 RWD with rear ABS. If it will work, let me know what you need. Sell you anything I've got for 1/2 of new price.

Thanks Bill and Scott , I'm hoping that once the shop replaces the master cylinder AND properly bleeds the master, dump, rear, and front brakes that will be a part I won't need. Hey Scott, you said 1/2 price of new. Can't find any new ones. If I need it maybe we can get a price we both will feel good at. You're sure a 1/2 ton unit will work on a 1 ton ? Again thanks for the answers. John

My truck's a 2500, not a 1500.

Is your truck auto? regular cab? rear wheel only ABS?

I'll see if I can find out if they're the same.

Just picked up my truck and pedal feels much better than before . It still has a #3 flashing code on the brake lights. The shop said it is in need of a " valve assembly pressure limit". Dodge part #52007312 . Is this still what they call a dump valve ? It is located right underneath the master cylider . I do not know if Scots' 3/4 dump valve would work . Any input ? Thanks again , John P. S. sorry Scot on the 1500 vs 2500 you have . My truck as far as I can tell RWAL only , it is an auto club cab , and 4x4 if itmakes a diff. .

My Dodge parts man says that they're different between the 2500 and 3500. Now, whether or not it will actually WORK I don't know. But, as far as Dodge is concerned they have different part numbers.
