Just about bought Amsoil for my front and rear diff. and noticed they claim to not need addative for my limited slip. Anybody know anything about this? A little FYI, amsoil off the internet is 7$ a quart cheaper than synthetic at dealer!

My experience was to add a little, less than 1/2 the normal amount. Most dont add any. Some add a little. Dont really know why, maybe has to do with how tight the rear end is setup.

Anyways add the new fluid, do the tight figure 8's in the parking lot. See how it is. If you add, add in 2oz increments and repeat figure 8's.

That's what I'm using, and didn't need any for 30K miles or so. But I think 'm getting a tiny bit of shudder at low speeds when turning corners now, so its possible the last of the friction modifier finally worked its way out of the clutches.

I haven't decided if it's worth the trouble of adding some... .
