I have a 96 with 215 pump, #11 full forward,(Hopefully trade up to a #10 in the next few months) BD 60+ hp injectors, . 020 over headgasket, timing at 15. 5, going to go to around 18 because of the thicker head gasket. Maybe a 3000 gsk, depends on the money fairy.

Question is my wastegate diaphram is bad on my stock Hx-35 (cost 110$ or so), so I am going to go to either the 14cm or 16cm non-wastegated, which do the guru's or anyone who knows more than me recomend? I tow some, but mainly for fun, I can get warm in a hurry, but timing should help that, I am in Utah mainly, 5000 ft. and can still overboost on my turbo so I have to do something. Exhaust is straight, and have a BHAF. Much appreciated for the help.

I dynoed at 332 and 793 with stock 215 injectors and really high timing 22+++, hence the new headgasket. What should I be at with the #10 and the larger injectors, I am thinkg upper 300's.

Either housing depends on you and what you can live with for lag at altitude but your stick can get you by some of that, the 10 is a good plate and yes get the GSK (a must) put your timing at 18 max if your towing and you will like the out come.

I ran the 16 housing for quite some time with the #11 and 370 injectors. I had a #10 but didn't put it in because of the clutch slipping. With the 16 housing I had no problems spooling it up here in our dry air. But even with just the #11 all the way forward I was running 46-48 PSI in 5th at full throttle. I tried the #10 in the stock position and it was too hot for anything but empty driving.

I am only running 16 deg timing in mine. Time doesn't give any HP it does run cooler EGTs with more timing but from what have read advancing it too much will actually reduce HP. The only real need for more timing is when running higher RPMs.

My setup works real well with no waste gate and I hit 40psi max all the time see sig for details. Just block it off and go. I did that for while before my 16cm housing and the boost is about the same.

I went from the stock 12 to the 16cm hsg when I had the 11# plate. Mild egt drop boost went from 38psi to 32psi with the #10 plate it will reach 36psi. Lag time isnt to bad but coulde be better. Take offs from a stop with hard throttel produce a fair amount of smoke even more noticeable with a trailer hooked up. Also cruise egts will rise around 25-50 deg.
