My wife and I transplanted here about 2 months ago from Colorado for a great career opportunity for me. 2 weeks ago we put an offer an a new home in Union, KY. It looks like the builder is most likely not going to be able to meet our build requirements so the deal may be scrapped. I work in Florence, my wife works in Highland Heights. We dont mind a 25 minute commute to our offices each day and would like a good community to live in that has people our age or there abouts to get to know ( I am 25, my wife is 26) We visited Hidden Valley Lakes, IN and really liked the area alot last weekend. I am a waterski buff and noticed they have a lake that people ski on, and there seems to be alot more community involvement as compared to say your average community of rows of homes. Can anyone give us some insight of this area? We are torn between this area or the Union, KY area and have done the pro's and con's for both and its an even tie. Any advice on the local schools (no kids yet but in a year or two) economies of the area, and potential for future housing appreciation would be greatly appreciated. Advice please!!
