Got a question! Yesterday when pulling a light load (3000 lbs) the rubber boot or adapter that is after the down pipe on the turbo that has two metal clamps on it keeps blowing the front clamp off. It has happenen before so I went and bought a new one (they shure do think highly of them) It stopped it for about 2 months but is back again. It only happens when I am getting on the freeway and since I have an automatic  I have to wind out third gear before it will grab fourth. Does anyone have any helpful hints, they would be much appreciated

Clean both surfaces well then apply some hair spray to it. It will hold it together but will still make it possible to remove. The clamps need to be very tight, more than most folks would do by feel alone. Use a torque wench at least once to get a feel for it, 70 in/lbs.

not to insinuate here but, the hair spray should be sprayed on liberally and the hose applied while its still wet :D

use a cleaner that can cut grease to clean the inlet tube with too.

an SOS pad or Scoth brite wont hurt to scuff the surface a bit either.

I appreciate the advice on the hair spray! When I really got down on the band last time(about 70 lbs) that is when it finally broke it instead of just blowing it off, therefor making me leave a $40,000 piece of equipment on the side of the road until I could limp to the Dodge house for the new rubber.
