Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Need advise starter stuck...on 2000

Hi Guys - Have 2000 2500 Quad 4x4 5-speed full size bed.

Having problems with starter - started out as fuse underhood blowing now and again. Now the starter is stuck in the flywheel and won't come out? Is the starter shot? Is it hard to fix? I heard some talk about some bigger shoes for the inside that help does anyone know about that? If its shot does anyone know about where I can get a good price on an OEM starter? Anyway thanks for all the help I really appreciate it.

the starter contacts are fried and has the plunger is stuck in the engaged position, get a larry B rebuild kit from fostertruck.com or call 253-272-1444, drop the starter and rebuild it.
