The pump on the 03 is very similar to the 2nd gens, maybe worse. With all the trouble everyone has with them, I'm considering adding an electric high perf pump (like the Carter) before I start bombing. I plan on mounting it near the fuel tank but I'm wondering how much resistance to flow there is in the existing pump. Any chance this setup would kill the stock pump?

Finally, If the factory unit dies, will the after market pump be able to drive fuel through the stocker?

By the way, my plans are only to install a fueling box, air filter and injectors.

Thanks in advance guys!

The general idea is that you can't pump through a pump that isn't pumping..... So if your stocker eats it, the aftermarket pusher won't pump through the stocker.
