I own a excavating business & lately it seems like flat tires on my machines are a daily occurance. I need to mount a air compressor in my truck that will inflate skidsteer/backhoe tires quickly. I am trying to find out what cfm compressor will be needed & I am interested in seeing your setups if you can post pics. Any ideas on air tank/ compressor mounting etc. is appreciated.

This is one solution. Kilby
I have one on the Jeep and it will fill a 35" tire from 8 lbs to 32 lbs in about 1 1/2 minutes. A backhoe tire is going to take a bit longer. I only have a small air tank though. A larger one will make a BIG difference because the standing presure is ~160 lbs.

Thanks Guys... . The Kilby setup is pretty sweet, but a little more than I want to spend right now. The unit from extreme outback is looking more in my league. I found a tank that my friend is giving me for free... . it is 6" tall & bolts in the spare tire location. I had a 77 chevy that I made custom tube bumpers for & they made great air tanks, but just don't look right on the Dodge. Any other compressors I should look at?
