dacota durango cummins conversion

3126 cat to 8.3 cummins swap,2000 f650

If anyone out there has picked up a second generation dodge for a repower donor, I am hoping you can help me out. A friend of mine has asked me to convert his '96 dodge chassis cab Automatic 2wd to manual 4wd. It has the heavy solid beam axle type front end, so it is an easy conversion in his case.

What I am looking for and will need:

Manual transmission steerring column

Clutch pedal assembly

Transfer case

Bellhousing set up for the NV-4500

Front Driveshaft

Front Axle (2500 4WD/ 3500 4WD) I can swap the dually adapters from his.

Factory dodge shifter assemblies and cab boots to install them.

Any one with the 4wd manual computer box so I can get his cruise to work again.

Thanks in advance, He'll pay a reasonable price for a donor truck if anyone has one intact that's got a bad engine or sheetmetal damage.

I sent your email to my buddy Nolan, he'll be in touch if he hasn't found parts yet. What are you asking for them by the way?

I know a guy with a 95 4x4 V-10 auto that got rolled. High miles but he drove it on the trailer. I can get you a number if you're interested.

I don't know how much good a gasser automatic would be. Since it was rolled, I am leary of using the axle out of it, (which would be the only real useful part I believe). If I remember right, the transfer case in the v-10 is a lighter duty version of the NP-241 dhd (or whatever the letter abbreviation is). I don't think there is much else beyond those parts to help with this project. :(

Nolan is in Eugene Oregon currently, so he may want to check it out at the least. I'll let him know, thanks for the post.

Send me a PM or email if you want a phone number. It's only about 30 minutes north of Eugene if he want's to take a look. The cab is crunched pretty good but I don't remember a lot of damage around the front axle area. I didn't see the crash site so I don't know how it hapened exactly.
