My best friend is doing a Cummins 12 Valve into a Chevy Crew Cab swap. He went to the Freightliner dealer to get the hydroboost bracket. They told him that if he could find a 6bt 12 valve engine number that came with hydroboost, they could find him the part.

If anyone has a 97 or 98 12 valve with hydroboost brakes. Please PM me the engine number. The VIN won't help.

I have a 98 12 Valve.

Where is the eng. # located?

I'm confused, my '97 has hydroboost but also has a vacuum pump. Any Dodge will have the vacuum pump up to the '02 model.

What bracket does he need??? I may be able to pull an ESN from a '90's School Bus with juice brakes.

I have access to QuickServe right here from the house, get me up to speed and I will try to help.

Mike. :)

I am giving up on you until morning, will check back then.

I assume you want to mount the P/S pump directly to the front cover, that is why you need an arrangement from a bigger truck.

You are correct. Want to completely delete the vacuum pump. He told me, (I have no idea if it's true) that they made them for about a year with no vacuum pump. He does not have room for it, nor need, since the Chevy dash in his truck needs no vacuum to operate the AC and Heat doors.

Thanks so much for all your help.

Sorry I could not respond earlier.
