Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Anyone having probs with their alternators? This is the 3rd time I have had problems and the 2nd time (in 5K miles) it will get replaced. The first 2 times the ground cable was busted off during oil changes at the dealership. This time, the "Check guages" light came on. I assumed it to be the cable again, so I checked it out. The grounding stud was completely stripped of threads. Got it to the dealer yesterday, they were kind enough to see me w/o a appt. Only 1 alternator in the State of NY. It'll be here on Tuesday.
The good side is they offered me a rental in its place (I didn't have to ask this time. ) And they're gonna fix that pesky countershaft prob.
TSB 08-23-00 was done at 18K on the last replacement.

PS BTW truck only has 23K miles and just turned a year old.
