Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Hello all I am new here and have a question regarding my dads truck. He has a 98 12v 5spd 3. 55 gears 120k miles. Last week we installed a #8 plate with boost controller and gauges boost and egt. Got it running and now difference in power fond a bad fuel relief valve low pressure got that fixed a lot more power. Now I think we have a problem with boost not for sure we have pressured checked everything up to 25psi and no leaks with soapy water. Here is what it is doing 1&2 gear about 25psi before you shift 3rd can get 34psi upper revs in 4th and 5th if you stomp the go peddle it will jump to about 23psi and slowly rise with the revs of the engine. The egts seam normal not seeing much over 1000 wot pulling 5% hill in 5th at about 70mph speed climbs slowly. The fuel plate is set about halfway and the afc all the way forward and the star wheel cracked forward. There is a little smoke in 1st and 2nd at first nothing in 3rd even when you lug it only a little haze. I have run out of ideas tried moving the plate around every where just mainly changed the smoke. Tried unhooking the wg and still acts the same just helped a little not much. Is this normal or is something wrong, truck also has a free flowing exhaust and intake system also.
