Unfortunately no, My sister is getting married on the 3rd and I have a business conference in Co. springs the 12th -15th. 2 birds with one stone. I'm already trucking some stuff for her anyway. and I love Colorado. I used to live in Crested Butte. but moved back east for money. Now i drive out there whenever I can.

Sorry, no gooseneck :(

I know this is off of the subject, but I'll see if we can get the RMTDR together when you are here. Unfortunately, I'll be out in CA... . but I'll see what I can do. .

Have a safe trip.

Off topic #2

I have a business trip to Colorado in September too. I have to go spend a week and half riding trains in the mountains on the territory I work... bummer :D NOT! I can't wait... ... anyhow let me know which dates you project coming through Omaha (if you do) and we'll get together for lunch or dinner or something, and if it works I'll round up a couple of locals.

Sure....

K-arts,

Would really like to meet up with you guys. Either Sunday Sept 9th, Or late afternoon on Saturday the 15th. Thats if you guys want to do a weekend day. This is semi-flexible as well. Some weekdays are good as well. between the 10th & 11th. See what you guys can do. Even if it's just going out for a beer :D

Katdiesel,

I'll be heading through the last week of August. Around the 28th - 30th. I'll be coming back 16th-17th of September. Let me know what your schedule is.

Thanx guys,

Kevin

Eric: Will we see you when you come to Colorado? What a bummer having to ride in those smelly diesel trains through all those pesky hills in western Colorado. I was wondering if you ever got to do that. Seems like it would make your job a lot eaiser.

Trying to iron out my schedule now. And see how many days I get.

I have to go from Denver, Pueblo, Grand Junction, and Steamboat springs. I am awaiting approval of my "schedule" I made. Trying to make an extra day in there so goof off :D

I got alot of ground to cover in a short amount of time. Yes we get to ride trains from time to time. Actually anytime I goto CO I can get on any train I want (I'm in good with the bosses), for example the bosses here didn't wanna pay for the trip, so I called the "head" guy of the Denver Service Unit (22 service units on the UP) and he said come on out and is paying for it out of his budget.

I had a similar trip in Nov 98. I wish I could HighRail the Tenneessee Pass route before it rots away.

But since the tracks pretty much follow rivers through the canyons, you get to see some neat views.

Trip rescheduled

Well they won't let me go in September. So its rescheduled to the 3rd week of Oct. I'll iron out the dates here eventually.
