Need Ball Joint Spec ASAP

I have a 2004 2500 manufactured in 09/2003. It's in the shop right now for a couple of issues. They're keeping it overnight because they had to order a replacement power steering pump. I also asked them to check the ball joints because I'm right at 36,000 miles.



Here's the deal -- I read on the TDR that the ball joint spec was . 020 inch. The dealer measured mine at . 033 and . 036. BUT -- They stated that the spec is . 090. What is the spec, . 020 or . 090? Does anybody have a link to the literature that states this?



I don't want to get screwed out of the deal if the spec is actually . 020. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks!!!

The spec is . 090" straight from the '03-'05 Chrysler service manuals.

how do you measure the wear of ball joints? just curious cause I am close to my 36,000th mile.
