need braking power

Have 06 3500, jake brake and low gears. Have 16% grade I decend frequently. Jake brake shuts off at 22 mph (factory setting). Looking for advice modify jake cut-off factory setting, or possibly after market drive line or transmission brake. My 5th wheel is very heavy...

@ 22 Mph you are truly at the low limit of rpm/efficiency braking. I can take mine to 18 mph but that is with a good ol tried and true stand alone exhaust brake and trans controller. To be honest at anything below 20 there is not any effective braking left in the engine as the converter is allmost to the unlock point and there is not much "Volume" of exhaust in the pipe to push against.
