I'm looking at a jeep grand cherokee on E-bay, blown motor, need a est. to see wether it's worth it or not. It's in Lancaster CA. I live in Maryland, if it would save $$$ i could drive to Knoxville to pickup there. Anybody with est's please???

Shipping a rolling (but non running car) coast to coast can add $500 -1000 to the cost, depending on current gas prices. One place you might check is the yesterday's tractors forum. Folks post there with rides offered/wanted for all kinds of loads. Hope this helps.

Otherwise do a quick google search for car shippers and you'll have plenty to read.

One good thing is that it's unlikely to have any rust coming from desert...

F8LDOSE, I shipped a truck to a guy in the winter time that bought it from me on ebay. He lived in LA. To ship it from DC to LA it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $750 -$1000. And we had to drop it off at the shipping terminals and pick it up also. It saved us about $100 to do that. I belive we used A1 auto transport.
