When I hit my internet button, the computer dials the number and logs me on. I have internet service through the local phone co. (century) It takes me straight to AOL. I hate the damn thing. I keep trying to click the little bar at the top for tdr, but until aol gets logged on so far the bar at the top goes back to aol. Every day they add 6 more ways to detour me to sign me up. I would like for the computer to take me straight to tdr when I log on. Is this possible or do I have to look at all that crap every time. Need computer advice. I don't want to learn very much about it, Just enough to stay away from aol. Thanks for any suggestions.

I dont have AOL but in Internet Explorer, Go to the main page you want to come up when you dial in, then go to the tools button then to internet options. Where it says "home Page" click on "use current"

If you want to get rid of AOL (maybe possible), close all your windows without disconecting your modem, ie, if it asks you if you want to disconect click no, then double click on internet explorer. It should ask if you would like to make IE your default browser. click yes. next time you log on should be with IE. If it doesnt work you should be able to open AOL from your desktop. These suckers can get a mind of their own so dont blame me if you crash and burn as this is free advise and thats about all its worth:p
