Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) need drill size to tap ex manafold

In LA working on my brothers ETH. Putting in a EGT probe and need to know what drill size to tap 1/8 pipe thread. Chris

Some folks get by with a 5/16" (slightly small) or an 11/32" (slightly large) but the correct size is a 'Q' letter drill which has a dia of 0. 331" I believe. Any industrial tool shop will have one for a couple dollars.

I've done two so far. Drill bit is 21/64 and the tap is1/8-27 n. p. t. Those sizes work perfect. Good luck. Paul
