Need engineer who knows about the electronics on the 24 valve. Have bad voltage from the PDC and don't know where it is coming from.

Can anyone help. PLEASE. have the scope readings to prove it. It is just TT logic someone out there must know who to desiffer where it is coming from.

If you can be more specific about your problem, I will try to help.

Bad electrical

99 24v 235 hp 3500 I have osocilloscope readings for the VP-44 and of the electrical at the PDC and they aren't good. Some of them are in my readers rigs if we can find out how to put more in would do that or can e-mail more ororor? The engine doesn't run right. Almost can't run it below 1600 rpm. Have almost exhausted chrylser and cummins. Thanks much appreciated.

Oh boy..... Oscilloscopes scare me. Where are you reading with it? Are you getting wierd voltage readings at the 12V supply? Could it be bad grounds creating noise in your wiring? Could it be something tapped into a dedicated supply circuit to these PCMs, PDCs, ECMs? Also causes noise in the wiring. Does the data link circuit between these check out? Otherwise known as the CAN BUS.

bad voltages

No haven't tapped into anything. I made up a harness that pluged into the vp plug and could see the Pin# 8 sync pulse a spike, Pin # 7 bad voltage, Pin #6 good grd, Pin # 5 fuel shut off 1 volt Peak to peak, and so it goes. But do have a bad arc in the electrical that is ruinining the way that the truck should run. It might be in the PCM but not going to waste another $1200. 00 plus dollars. (About $15,000. 00 so far) When they built the truck the ECM plug in wasn't fully seated so I suspect that it spiked something (PCM,PDC). It isn't bad grounds, have commoned them up and the ones on the front left were redone (did a great job butt splice, crimped, soldered splicing tape and put 88 tape over it. ) this has been going on since new.

The bad voltage is coming out of the PDC. This is ruining the voltages for everything MY 2 suspects are the PCM and PDC. It ( ?????) probably took a spike when they built the truck and the ECM plug wasn't fully seated!!!!!!

Have tested the Alt and batteries they are good. Chrysler says that the dollarships have the technology to fix the problem. Not in 39 visits so far. (MAD)

electrical problems

Since I got this piece of junk it has run like nothing else that I have ever run. Out of 65 engines. No not the grounds sorry I cleaned them several months ago and measured them as I put them back. The ECM grd was 0. 002/3 milli ohms. So is very good. Had about the same for the 2/0 grds and they were clean but copper coated them.

No some thing was spiked as a result of the factory not seating the ECM plug and it toook something out in the PCM or PDC. In my readers rigs G/F has been able to get one of the sheets in and it shows what the resulting problem is. It comes out of the PDC and screws up the voltage. I meggered the alt and tested the diodes and the capacitor it was 15 MFD. The O/P was the typical 3 phase rectified output. With Pulse width modulation for I/P.

Just a piece of JUNK till it gets fixed. Then there will be the leaking 53 block engine since new. JUNK JUNK JUNK :-{}
