Need Exhaust help

I just purchased a PDR HX 40 with downpipe. The 40 has a 4" flange and the downpipe is 4". I want to install a 5" exhaust on my truck. Should I get a new 5" downpipe that has a 4" flange or use the 4" PDR downpipe and go 5" from there back? That seems extremely restrictive if I do it that way.

The 4" will flow more than you can throw at it. Call Piers, Diesel Dynamics and some of the other performance companies and ask them at what power level 5" would be needed, or even beneficial.
