I'm thinking about getting DDII injectors and and Comp box for my truck. My question is am I going to have EGT issues when in the dessert?? I don't Pull any serious weight (jet skiis) with the truck very often, but on occasion I do pull a travel trailer for those extended hunting trips. I know the clutch needs to get swapped out with something that will hold it also. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

You should have no problems. If shes running hot turn the power down. I have a friend who's running stage 1's and a comp box and his truck will run pretty darn good.

As far as pulling in the heat, I live down in S. Texas where it can get dessert hot on occasion. With 275's and a VA I have towed gross weights up to 30,000+ with absolutely no problems.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but . . .

If you run the Comp on 5X5 with the DDII's and only a 4" exhaust and improved air filter, you will have high EGT's. Even in cool weather. To run that combination and keep EGT's "safe" (1350F or so), you'll need more mod's (i. e. , turbo).

Now having said that, yes you can turn it down and be safe, just don't expect to get all of the fun out of that combination without any other upgrades. And you can tow with that combination turned way down with little/no issues with EGT.

Is towing on 5x5 really needed with bigger injectors I only run 2 or 3 with dd2's for towing and 4 and 5 for playing. On 3 pulling big short hills with abot 28k gross I had hard time get over 1200 on pyro (in cold weather) I am sure summer will be different.

Just my Idea's

With 275's and comp I dynoed 361hp so with 40 more hp at flywheel w dd2's I should be near 400hp or about there.
