The check engine light came on with a code 0216. From what all is being said, it sounds like I got a VP44 on its way out and lift pump gone south.

I wanted to find out if anyone could point me to a trustworthy dealer in the area? I normally do repairs myself and don't really trust the dealerships. This sounds expensive and should be a warranty issue.

Thanks!

Hank

Wow! 44 sorry I can't offer any references in reguard to engine work. The only 2 I've delt with were for clock-spring and FE alignment. The Dealer that did the alignment got the ax from DCX. Hayward Dodge did the recall on my clockspring and did a fine job. They wanted 85 bucks to flow test the LP so I just spent the extra 40 to do it on my own. The do have a diesel tech on site and he knew what he was talking about when we BS'd about the cummins. Good luck, Mike.

Lasher Dodge in Elk Grove. Great Diesel Tech, and doesn't care what mods you make. He won't try to void your engine warranty beacuse you put that new sticker on your back window. I'm pretty picky about who works on my truck, because I do almost all work myself. He can work on my truck. If I could find his business card I could post a number. If you find it, his service writer is Tabitha, and his name is Mick. Good luck.
