2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission need heated mirror help

my mirrors are not heating up on my 01. when you push the button you can hear it turn on an the light comes on,but either one will warm up. anyone have a fix for this, i cant believe that both mirrors went bad since i hardly ever use them. thanks

I have had several 2001 trucks where both heating elements in the mirrors have failed. You need to check for voltage at the light blue/yellow tracer at the mirror connector. If you have voltage the mirror elements are open. The ground circuit is the same as the power mirror motor, so if mirrors move the ground circuit is ok. The mirror glasses are available from dealers or glass companies.
