AFE and warranty problems?

Has Anyone Tried This Fuel Additive?

I'm trying to install my Phat Shaft 62 on my 02. After you get the Hx35 off, there are two stud left in the exhaust manifold, while the Hx35 keeps the other two. The new turbo just has holes (not threaded). Can I just go down and get two bolts to hold the turbo to the manifold and use the existing two studs for the others? Also, the drainage outlet on the PS62 is retangular, where as the one that went to the HX35 was round. The gasket that you get with the PS62 is retangular. Is seems like it will seal okay, but I want to make sure. Thanks!!!!

Just make sure you get good quality bolts from a tractor dealer or truck parts store. Dont worry about the gasket as long as the holes line up you should be golden. Dont forget to prime it with oil and spin it before putting on the oil fitting and line. E

Can I thread the new housing so that it will mirror the old Hx35? I'm going to get ahold of II tomorrow and see what their story is. I don't know why they just don't send some studs out with it or have it pre-threaded. That would sure make it easier don't ya think? Stuart

Yeah, full report on install would be great, as i have a ps 62 ordered and on the way. if i may ask, how long did it take after you ordered to get your turbo. I heard they are really slow because they cant get housings in fast enough. Thanks

Just put a couple bolts in it and call it good. The drain will line up fine but put a touch of high temp silicone on each side of the gasket.

RE: Phat Shaft 62 Install

We are sorry if you are having problems with your install. We always use the old studs, nuts and bolts over again. Usually don't need any new bolts. But You probably do make a great point, we can send some extra studs and nuts that may make your life easier when installing the turbo. If you ever need any thing just call or email us. We do try to remember or see every angle. but your input is very much appreciated. Thanks Brady 1-800-955-0476
