Being a worrywart is not the worst thing to be. I have a Reunel bumper on my 04 2500. It was labeled as a HD with a 4750 lb. rated front end. This truck
came with little clearance from the factory front rubber bumpers when new, My real concern is a factory warranty standing up when my front ball-joints are prematurely worn out. Seems like the Daimler people could have included at least the two grease fittings on these which came with the 3500 models. The Reunel bumper only made the truck come down about 1/8" when installed a year ago. Since then it has come down too close to the pads.
A local front end shop here has suggested I go with coil spring spacers and not heavier springs as I intended. All springs do settle some in time. It was suggested that new after market shocks to be installed at this time which I intend to do. This is a heavier bumper than a ARB so tell your friend not to worrywart. The steel in these new springs is not as durable as some years ago.
