Need help choosing a hitch

I currently pull a 1970 18' Terry TT that loaded weighs in at 4K on the scales and the hitch I have for it is rated at 5K and does not have a weight distribution system but I need to upgrade. Recently I purchased a used 24' enclosed cargo trailer from my Dad and he dropped it off at my house so I have not pulled it yet. From what I can see on the nameplate the GWR is 7700 lbs.

What can you guys recommend for a new hitch that is the best bang for the buck? With the longer trailer should I get a weight distribution system?

Where is a good place to check prices online so I can compare to the local dealers?

I don't know what the new trucks come with, but mine is rated for 10,000 with a W/D system. You can probably find one for less than the price of a new hitch, plus it's not a bad idea to use one anyway. The company I drive for requires them on all "bumper pull" trailers, regardless of weight.

I'd use the W/D hitch on the 24 footer, for sure. Could get squirrelly when windy or from big rigs.
