Switches replace stock cup holder?

Time to replace the worn out ProComp shocks on my 1996 2500 4x4. I know there are two different models avalaible from Bilstein - the BE5 Series for over 8400# and the B46 for 6400# to 7500#.

Do most of you use the BE5s, will the B46s work??

Lastly - where is the best place to buy them?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.

I put the BE5's on because of the 8800 GVW rating my truck has. I do not know if the 8400# or lower rating shock will fit. I like the ride that the BE5 Bilsteins have. The BE5's sure stopped the bucking and floating feeling the stock shocks had, especially when towing my 20ft trailer. IMO if your going to put Bilsteins on a Diesel Ram, go with the heavier rated ones. Some guys have had issues with the Bilstien front shock bushings, you might want to do a search on that subject. I bought mine at Auto Zone on 5/20/03 for 64. 95ea.

Thanks,

Kent

Kent -

I appreciate the reply. I figured the HD BE5s were the ones to choose. I will check with my local AutoZone and see if they stock them.

Dont' know if they are still offering a TDR Members Discount, but I would take a look at Off Road Wharehouse. I got a good price on the original purchase, but no help when I needed the front upper bushings that died prematurely because I did not install them correctly.

I just ordered Bilstein shocks for my truck from off road warehouse. I got them for 57. 99 a piece and $12 for shipping. I mentioned the TDR discount. I got them about 3 days later. A good thing is no tax for out of state.
