yea i have had my 2001 gor bout 6 months now and its been getting pretty cold here at night and i have been plugging my truck in but how do i know if its heating ??

The radiator hose/neck should feel warm to the touch after it has been plugged in for more than a couple of hours. The engine temp gage may not move off the cold position until after it has been running a while but it will definitely warm up faster after being plugged in. bg

When you turn the key forward to the on position & the "wait to start" light goes out right away... It is working.
